I picked this mascara up purely out of curiosity — I wasn’t expecting much beyond a fun colour payoff— but it’s quickly become one of those products I reach for when I want definition without the heaviness of a true black lash.

The shade is a soft burgundy that brings out every bit of green in my eyes, and the formula performs far better than I expected for something so affordable. What impressed me most is how clean and steady it stays throughout the day. My eyes are over 40, very hooded, and most mascaras end up transferring onto my upper lids or under eyes within a few hours. This one didn’t move. Why this mascara works

The colour is the real star. Bordeaux Cashmere is a muted burgundy that doesn’t scream “coloured mascara,” but it adds just enough warmth to make green eyes look brighter and more dimensional. It’s subtle in the best way — noticeable when the light hits, but never overpowering. Gives a sparkle that is unassuming yet beautiful.

The formula itself is lightweight and flexible, which means it layers well without going spiky or heavy. One coat gives soft definition; two or three give that lifted, elongated look that still feels appropriate for everyday wear.

And the staying power surprised me. I wore it for 12 hours — 2 hours on the walk pad while working, laptop time, a mega yawning session at 3pm, dinner — and it looked exactly the same at the end of the day. No transfer onto my upper lids, which is a MUST for me in a mascara.
